Antique and Old World Coins
From Europe and America to China and Australia
Old Coin Collectors the world over enjoy collecting their national coins as much as Australian collectors enjoy collecting Australian coins. Coins come in wide variety of sizes, shapes, types, and metals used in world coins and it may be difficult to decide what to collect. Some world coins can be very rare (fe.g. one of 1913 Liberty Head Nickel was sold for $5 million), others are more common. Some people collect old world coins because ther are rare, famous and may be worth an obsene sum of money, others, because they depict important historical events. Some coins may be interesting just because they exist and millions of people use them every day. There are various reasons for collecting world coins. Sometimes they appeal to us because they are beautifully made, rare, good for investment or it is just fun, since we came by a few world coins that we got for free and here starts a new collection. Whatever is the reason for collectin world coins, it an exciting and in many ways a rewarding hobby.
